Sam
Morneau is Melissa Parker’s best friend. He’s also a member
of The Kind of September, basically the hottest boy band on the
planet.
After two and a half years, Mel is all too familiar with the day-to-day occurrences that come with being a member of the band’s inner circle, including hectic schedules, passionate fans, and gossip-mongering celebrity girlfriends.
Now, with the release of the group’s third album just weeks away, their lives have never been crazier and Mel is doing everything she can to keep up, all the while trying to cope with the ridiculous rumors that follow the band everywhere they go and pretending that she isn’t harboring a secret and hopeless crush on Sam.
It’s weird enough being in love with your best friend. It’s even weirder when the rest of the world is in love with him, too.

POV
''No one should have to pay any price to be with someone''
There is something in this book that captivated me from the beginning. This is the first book I read by Jacqueline E. Smith but definitely want to read more about it. The author tells the story of a simple way but as complete once each chapter makes it fun and very fast read. At least you know it and you'll be on page 100.
''It's
less of a place and more of an experience. To see it and
to hear it is all to feel it. It's the feeling of
adventure and being away from home and being totally
free''
For
many, the Young Adult Fiction genre is a very exploited,
but really none of them had made me laugh as much as
Jacqueline.
The story focuses on The Kind of
September (something like a fictional One
Direction ) so Directioners keep an eye on it because this is
your book. But judging by the members, the crew of TKOS
are better. And the author develops each in a unique way,
and real. As you read you feel like you were friends and
you were with them on tour.
The plot itself is not
dense. As I said, I liked that it was a very agile and
enjoyable reading.
''it's
so easy to be around people when everything is... well...
easy. But the people who've been with you through thick
abd thin, who've been seen you at your absolute worst, and
who still want to hang out with you a the end of the day?
If that isn't family, I don't know what is''
If
I had to name one of my favorite characters (although
difficult) would definitely choose to Sam. And it is not
for it, you know .... it.
I choose it because it really
is a character very well developed, with which you can
empathize from the first paragraph. Man can spend days
watching Netflix you locked when not on tour. If you add
books and you take away the fame, I am! hahaha. All
members of TKOS are great and I like them but .... Sam is
Sam.
And on the other hand, Joni and Melissa (Mel's
Joni) since Joni seemed a little paranoid sometimes
incongruous. Instead I found a character Mel Madurom
diligent but still with a touch of youth betrayed her on
more than one occasion.
I really wasn't expecting that ending, please forgive me but ¡ Tara is such a bitch and I hate her !
But anyway, I can not wait
to read the second book '' Backstage '' Which has been
released just a few days ago.
